Seasonal Trail Closures and Wintering Wildlife

The Town of Minturn would like to remind our residents and visitors, that the Mini Mile trail, and the Minturn Bike Park, are closed for the winter season. This is a wildlife closure that the Town hopes everyone will respect to allow for wintering habitat for the elk.

In addition, to help respect and protect wintering wildlife, we kindly ask that residents avoid walking dogs in this area, and that dogs are kept on leash in the Little Beach Park and surrounding areas.  That entire area is an elk migration / winter range corridor and disruption can lead to extremely harmful outcomes for wintering wildlife.
